Chandler( my little bro. ) Shane (the buddy ) and me did some seriouse blind building yesterday and it paid off today!! we missed a big group early in the day but as we were cleaning up the decoys a huge flock came in and we got one each..... tomoro we will take better aim and wait just a little longer before we start packing up!!!

Slow Phesant Hunt This Year

One Rootie is all we could scrape up on opener day and he was pretty young but you have to reward the dogs for the awsome point and retrieve.

I Caught a tripple on a couple of fox setts, the only problem was that they were raccoons..... if you look close you can see 2 in the pic. above and all 3 in the pic below....... AWESOME

And I finally got the fox I have been trying to get!!

Bad Deer Hunt this year......

a lot of glassing and spotting but no shooting, we saw a lot of 2points but no shooters.

I have had a pretty big trap line this year and am finally getting the hang of setting for coons and fox........ I hope to have a huge catch at the end of the season.

I shot a wood duck!!!!! O man I am so excited, I could quit hunting waterfowl now!!! but I wont :-] Ill try to get some pic's on here soon........ trying to get the details on getting him mounted...... I made these when I was 18 and they have been awesome!!!! I would do a lot of things different now but you know what they way....... if it aint broke don't fix it.......

I just finished these saddle bags and horn bags the other day.... I tried them on a young horse and he bucked me off..... so I tried them on another horse that is a little more broke and they worked like a champ!!!!! I can carry all my survival gear and a first aid kit... plus my lunch and binoculars and something to drink!!!!!!! and they just snap off and on so I dont have to untie them every time I need to take them off my saddle.................

Old Horse shoes are awesome to work with!!!! Good thing he has a stout horse cuz that steer is pulling hard!!!!!!!

The wife wanted a jewelry box for christmas..... took me while but it turned out pretty good!!!

Horse shoe Magic

I started on the antlers with an old horse shoe and ended up with a 3x4 Muley rack!!! I could not believe they turned out!!!! Then just some old barbed wire and a worn out 00 shoe and a little heat bluing on the frame its self and there you are :-]

The Boat Trailer

Well here she is..... all she is missing is the lug nuts to put the tires on!!! My bro. gets home from the mission tomoro the 16th of october so friday we will be rollin' to the duck killin spot in style!!!!!!

Knives from scratch

This is my latest pride and joy!!!! I started with 1x5 inch piece of a2 steel and forged it to shape and then bround in the blade. The handle is injected Burl maple...... the sheath is ok but I was in a hurry to try it out so i could have spent more time on it!!!












This one is a looker only, I dont dare use it it turned out so good.... handle is diamondwood..............

I have started to build a Boat trailor for our (my brothers and I) 14 foot flat bottom duck and goose killing Boat......... I found an Axle at the scrap yard for 7.00$ and have been using scrap iron to build it.... its pretty red-neck but heck we all have a little of that in us!!!!!! I think total I will be into the whole trailor 50.00$ You just can't beat that with a stick!!!!

I have been messing around with the welder and have come up with some pretty cool stuff, I am thinking of selling some of it so tell me what you think their worth........... now I am working on a couple of knives and they are turning out pretty good, I'll have to get some pic's of them on here...

Prairie Dog Hunting Wyoming

Awesome week of prairie dog killing!! we had 6 hunters from New York. It rained us out the first day and there were a lot of "Nickle" card games played and lots of John's good cooking. the second day we got some good shooting in once we got through the mud. we killed a lot of dogs and the average hunter probably shot 500 rounds..........

the rest of the week was good shooting and lots of pest control was done!!!!
